If you dig deep enough in the snow of Syracuse, you'll find Jono Naito obsessing over board games, chemistry, and fire-breathing. She lives with her partner-in-crime, mischievous bunnies, and a bird who looks a bit like an avocado.

She is currently attending the MFA program at Syracuse University, where she is also an Editor-in-Chief for the journal Salt Hill. Her work has recently appeared in StoryQuarterly, Pithead Chapel, and FLAPPERHOUSE. Her story "Three Days Later" was featured as Fiction Pick of the Week on Longform.

She is currently working on a novel, Half, which explores conflicting identitoes through family stories of her Japanese ancestors in the 19th century.
