If you dig deep enough in the snow of Syracuse, you'll find Jono Naito obsessing over board games, chemistry, and fire-breathing. She lives with her partner-in-crime, mischievous bunnies, and a bird who looks a bit like an avocado.

She is currently attending the MFA program at Syracuse University, where she is also an Assistant Fiction Editor for the journal Salt Hill. Her work is forthcoming from The Fem and FLAPPERHOUSE, and has recently appeared in StoryQuarterly, Cosmonauts Avenue, and Waxwing.

She is currently working on a novel, Half, which explores racial, sexual, and gender identity through family stories of her Japanese ancestors in the 19th century.
